When you trade internationally and import goods and export them again, your company may benefit from one or several customs authorisations. In this case no import duties may have to be paid if the goods are stored in a bonded warehouse and have not been imported by paying import duties.
In addition, processing products abroad or processing goods from outside the European Community within the EEC can be accomplished within the terms and conditions of a customs authorisation which may apply both in The Netherlands and in The European Community.
It would be too complicated to mention all customs authorisations here, but we would like to point out the following ones:
- Customs warehousing for goods stored in a bonded warehouse awaiting shipment for their final destination.
- Inward processing for products that are processed in the European Community and which will consequently leave the European Community.
- Outward processing for products that are processed outside the European Community and which will consequently enter the European Community.
- Approved Exporter: simplified Proof of Origin procedure and endorsement of this declaration on your commercial invoice.
